Resource Websites for Entrepreneurs
In a previous article, I mentioned the State Department’s partnership with UP Global for their entrepreneurship promotion initiatives. After researching about the organization, UP Global seems like a great resource for entrepreneurs. In hopes of sparking some innovation and support, I wanted to share these sites with those who may not know of them yet. UP is a global partnership from Startup Weekend and Startup America that connects entrepreneurs with their communities and the resources they need most. Google also just partnered up with UP Global for their shared vision of expanding existing work together to grow Startup Weekend, now powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, which today supports more than 70 organizations that are champions for entrepreneurship in more than 115 countries around the world, activating entrepreneurial communities and helping them launch companies (check out this tribute video from Google for Entrepreneurs!) UP is currently active in 500 cities globally and with Google’s partnership aims to be in 1,000 cities by 2016. Moreover, Google is also teaming up to power Startup Digest and NEXT to connect entrepreneurs with training and event resources—all through UP Global.
UP Global is dedicated to empowering the entrepreneurial community and building networks that drive collaboration and strengthen entrepreneurs worldwide. With a platform offering action-based learning programs, resources, and networks for entrepreneurs and leaders, UP Global aims to be the leading organization strengthening/transforming communities through entrepreneurship. With reach in over 110 countries, UP Global is a rapidly-growing, impact-based collaborative effort made possible by support from The Kauffman Foundation, Google for Entrepreneurs, the Case Foundation, Microsoft, and The Coca-Cola Company.
