Want to Join a Fun Research Group for Next Academic Semester?

The Cornell Food and Brand Lab (F&BL) directed by Dr. Brian Wansink, author of the best seller “Mindless Eating: Why We Eat More than We Think,” focuses on eating behavior – why people eat what they eat, how people experience foods, and what drives people’s perceptions of food.

The F&BL recruits 8-12 students for each upcoming academic semester and will be holding its two first orientation sessions for the Fall 2014 semester at 4:30 – 5:30pm on Monday March 17th Room 401 and on Wednesday March19th in Room B-2 in Warren Hall also at 4:30-5:30pm. This first meeting is one of 3 mandatory meetings for those wanting to be in the Lab. If interested please make sure to attend one of these meetings!

The Lab meets 4:30-7:00 on Wednesdays and Lab members are active in helping generate, shape, critique, and run studies throughout the year.  The Lab’s research has been featured in the History Channel’s Modern Marvels, Penn & Teller’s “Bulls**t,” HBO, the Food Network, and other shows as well as in multitude of printed and online newspapers and magazines in the U.S and abroad. Former Lab members have gone on to top graduate programs, companies, medical schools, and public health organizations.  There is no prerequisite to be in the Lab other than curiosity.  Prior Lab members have come from over 20 different departments in the University.
