Louis Berneman developed the original concept for Osage University Partners, based on his 15+ years of experience managing technology transfer offices on behalf of universities. Lou is currently the Managing Director of Texelerate, LLC, a technology transfer consultancy focused on investing in start-ups, royalty monetization, and licensing transactions. He is the former Managing Director of the Center for Technology Transfer of the University of Pennsylvania and the former Director of Licensing and Business Development for Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology

Osage University Partners is a venture capital firm that specializes in university spinouts. Osage has partnered with 65+ universities and research institutions to invest in innovative startups.

CCTEC connects with students, faculty, and staff from all colleges within Cornell by hosting town-hall style meetings discussing IP issues in relevant fields of expertise. These informal gatherings typically feature short educational presentations concerning intellectual property issues and Q&A sessions on the university technology transfer process and patenting issues.
