POPSHOP is a space for programmed exchange and chance encounters, a launchpad for start-ups and shenanigans. It’s about filling in the gaps between people, projects and disciplines, it’s about welcoming the new and making connections between seemingly unconnected things.

Cornell University Library offers research tools that can help with many stages in the business building process. These include tools that help with general market and industry research, with estimating finances for different size companies in an industry, with identifying potential competitors in a region, and much more. Guides to help you identify these resources can be found in the links above.
Tutorials are available for some of the more complicated research tools and concepts, such as Bloomberg, and GIS. Workshops are also offered at Mann Library every semester for these topics and more, and new workshops can be developed in areas of research with which there is interest. If you would like individualized research support to help you research your business, consultations can also be arranged. Do not hesitate to contact Tom Ottaviano, the library’s business and entrepreneurship research specialist, with any questions you may have regarding the library, it’s resources and services.
